Disciplinary Action: Suspension is defined as a sanction imposed for disciplinary reasons that results in a student leaving school for a fixed period, less than permanently. Dismissal from a college for disciplinary reasons is defined as permanent separation from an institution of higher education on the basis of conduct or behavior not on academic performance.
An affirmative response will not automatically prevent admission, but you will be asked to provide additional information. Any falsification or omission of data may result in denial of admission or dismissal.
Special Requirements and Considerations Students seeking to enter the following majors Education (all programs), Business (all programs), Nursing, Nutrition, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Human Development and Family Relations (all programs), Fitness & Wellness Leadership, Social Work, or Criminal Justice as a transfer student may do so only if they meet the grade point average required of students applying for transfer admission to these programs. Please visit our webpage for information about our transfer admission guidelines, including requirements for transfer GPA earned in college. If you enroll at another college or university following high school graduation, you may be asked to submit mid-term grades and/or final grades demonstrating that you have met the transfer admission requirements as a condition of your acceptance to SUNY Plattsburgh. Please read all admission materials carefully for this conditional information. Failure to comply with conditions in acceptances may result in the withdrawal of your admission to SUNY Plattsburgh.Required Transcripts If you have completed less than 24 college credits at the time of application, you must submit your final high school transcript showing evidence of high school graduation. Also, if you attend another institution in the interim, you must forward to the Admissions Office an official transcript of your coursework, bearing the seal and/or signature of an appropriate school official.
